The softness and natural breathability of the leather is not effected by the water repellent treatment. Other special features include our performance thumb/palm patch which reinforces the critical wear areas with a double layer of leather. the back of the cuff is made with a fluorescent yellow leather with a contrasting red stripe for daytime visibility and a 3M Scotchlite™ retro-reflective stripe for night time visibility. These deluxe lineman gloves are made with select heavyweight 3-1/2 oz grain horsehide leather, that has been treated with a fluoro-chemical water-repellent emulsion for excellent water, oil, and stain-repellent properties. (The soft, breathable qualities of the leather are not affected by this water-repellent treatment.) Other special features include our performance thumb/palm patch, which reinforces critical-wear areas with a double layer of leather. Sewn across the back of the leather cuffs are heavy-duty 2" high-viz fluorescent-yellow fabric strips and retro-reflective silver strips for greater night-time visibility.
