The First Aid Room should be located near the work site and be accessible to workers at all times. Being of an adequate size, it should be clean and have adequate lighting, ventilation and heating. It should be clean, designated as non-smoking and close to bathroom facilities. There should be clear signs that this is a First Aid facility. An advanced First Aider, Nurse or Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic should be in charge of this room and it should be clear where they can be located if away from the First Aid Room.
