This program covers the applicable legislation from the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Industrial Regulations and Regulations for Construction Projects. This course gives you a basic understanding about OSHA’s role in prevention and elimination of work-related illnesses and injuries. This training focuses on effective theoretical and practical training for Crane Operators.

The theory portion of this program is approximately 4 hours long for the Recertification Training and 8 hours long for the New Operator Training.  The topics include:

  • The application legislation from the required governing bodies
  • Workplace Specific Hazard Identification
  • Safe Rigging Practices
  • Safe Operation
  • Pre-Shift Inspections
  • Written test

The practical skills assessment is approximately 30 minutes/operator. Each operator must demonstrate the following:

  • Pre-shift inspection techniques
  • Good control of equipment
  • Proper rigging techniques
  • Awareness of pedestrians and obstacles

Book First Aid Coverage for your Event

F.A.S.T. Rescue provides First Aid coverage for your event.   Most organizations offer personnel who have been trained in Standard First Aid.  F.A.S.T. Rescue's personnel are at minimum First Responder trained.  Furthermore, the equipment we bring on-site is not limited to a First Aid kit.  We ensure our personnel have trauma bags and if required, an Automated External Defibrillator and oxygen tank.  We take your safety seriously!
