This 3-hour workshop is designed to train employers and employees to meet the required training under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The workshop is designed and conducted in a manner which will enable your staff to interact with the disabled community and raise your organizations profile within your community. This course will enable businesses and other organizations to implement the requirements of this new legislation as cost effectively and painlessly as possible. Each Participant will receive a certificate of completion that will satisfy your training requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

  • Learn about different types of disabilities and the use of customer service interaction techniques
  • Learn how you can increase revenue by attracting and servicing a largely overlooked segment of the population, which is unfortunately growing. The Baby Boomers make up 1/3 of the population and they are getting older. Is this a market you can overlook?
  • Avoid potentially devastating penalties for non-compliance (up to $100,000 per day and $50,000 for each director)
  • Understand the use of service animals, support persons and assistive devices and how to use and interact with them
  • Understand your obligation when developing your required Policies, Practices and Procedures
  • Learn how to implement your Policies, Practices and Procedures cost effectively
  • Using different mobility exercises you will have a better understanding of some types of disabilities. One of the core principals of sales is “the more you know about your clients the better you can service and retain them”
  • 65% of the population is in some way connected to someone with a disability and word of mouth is a powerful weapon both positively and negatively. In this still fledgling economy can you afford to over look the needs of such a large segment of the population (1.85 million Ontarians reported having a disability)
  • Avoid potential law suits
Please note:

  • Certification cards will be provided upon successful completion of this course
  • This course will be held at F.A.S.T. Rescue, 282 North Rivermede Rd., Concord, Ontario L4K 3N6.
  • Price: $125.00
