As a Red Cross authorized provider, F.A.S.T. Rescue also offers the Emergency Medical Responder Program. This course is designed for people involved in providing emergency response including fire fighters, police, EMS. It meets the National Occupational Competency Profiles for the practitioner level of emergency medical responder (EMR) established by the Paramedic Association of Canada (PAC).
The course provides the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until the next level of health care takes over. It follows the latest First Aid & CPR Guidelines (2005) and meets the OHS standards for Advanced First Aid. Emergency Medical Responder certification is valid for 3 years and includes CPR Level HCP and Automated External Defibrillation (AED).
Pre-requisites for the EMR course are:
1. Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certificate. Please note that a copy of this certificaton must be emailed or faxed to us before we can confirm your registration for these courses.
2. A pre-course assignment and manual must be picked up at least 1 week prior to the course start date and is due on the first day of the course. The assignment and manual may be couriered to you if payment for this course has been made in full. (Note: courier charges apply).

FAST can assist you to fulfill the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) Reg.1101 requirements and Ministry of Labour Orders. F.A.S.T. Rescue provides First Aid coverage for your event. Most organizations offer personnel who have been trained in Standard First Aid. F.A.S.T. Rescue's personnel are at minimum First Responder trained. Furthermore, the equipment we bring on-site is not limited to a First Aid kit. We ensure our personnel have trauma bags and if required, an Automated External Defibrillator and oxygen tank. We take your safety seriously!
